Did you call the repair guy and he replaced your board and told you to call an electrician? Did this happen again and you are looking for the correct solution? Poorly maintained home heating system are the number 1 cause of carbon monoxide poisonings in the U.S.
I Found this cracked heat exchanger while replacing a furnace damaged by a flood. The crack was in this unit before the flood. This furnace is only about 6-7 years old. Most people think a furnace needs to be considerably older to have a crack like this.
IMPORTANT CARBON MONOXIDE TIPS:
Do not use gas/wood oven or stove to heat your house.
Any appliance that has a flame can cause carbom monoxide to leak into your home.Place portable generators as far from house as possible.
Have gas appliances serviced regularly by professional technicians.
(ex. Heaters, Water Heaters, Gas Dryers etc..)
Have carbon monoxide detectors in the house.
(most important to be placed near your sleeping area)
Do not leave car running in the garage.
Poorly maintained home heating system are the number 1 cause of carbon monoxide poisonings in the U.S.
Carbon Monoxide is ODORLESS and COLORLESS, you cannont smell or see it.
Small children and older adults will show symptoms faster and at lower levels.
